When I was in Florida, I went on a road trip to Miami. I went with my mom, dad, and my sister. We planed to see some murals in the Wynwood District. It is an artsy place in the city with colorful murals painted by many different people. Before we saw the murals we had lunch at this taco place called Coyos. The tacos were really good. My dad had four and he was still hungry. I had two bean and shredded avocado tacos and I was still hungry too. Then we went to go see the murals. The murals were fantastic. My favorite mural looked like a mix between a elephant and a octopus. It had a elephant head and a octopus body. There were big rocks there. I wanted to climb the rocks and I could! I thought it looked really easy but, it was hard but fun to climb. After that we stopped by a juice store and the cashier gave me and my sister, Rae a sample of there new flavor of ice cream. it was really good. I thought it tasted like an orange and a brick. To me a brick tastes like the street. And this street had an orange peel on it.
Later, we went shopping. My family split up. I went with my dad and my sister went with my mom. My dad and I went to a flower store called Plant The Future. He bought a clear and shiny glass planter that holds five air-dry plants and there are tiny rocks at the bottom of the vase. Then, my dad wanted to show me a watch store where everything is made by hand. At the store there were other things like baseballs and footballs and even basketballs. They were all made out of leather. It was like I was almost in the 1900s but a little bit brighter.
Next we met my mom and my sister at a coffee shop called Panther Coffee. And there was this guy. He was a journalist. He was dressed fancy. My dad went over there to meet him and his name is John Hood. He turned out to be a nice John. He fibbed me. He said he was going to go outside and jump off the roof. I believed him and then he told me that what he said was a lie. Then John asked me who my favorite singer is and I said Michael Jackson. He told me that his first concert that he saw was the Jackson 5. I freaked out of course because the Jackson 5 is my favorite band and now I know someone who has seen them in person!
We ended our day with some good oxygen ice cream, a nice and short drive home to Boynton Beach, and had a few slices of good pizza!
